What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done? When I was 19, I paid for and took a class to become a SCUBA diver.  I only went on a dozen dives in my lifetime, but I worked at a retail store that sold SCUBA equipment in college to afford dive charters. 

How do you make time for self-care? What’s a place you visited that felt like home? Okay, so this Michigan native really doesn't think that Florida feels like home, but I really want it to be my second home to escape winter. 

What’s one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life? I used to worry about every decision, my future, and potential disaster.  Now, I just roll with what life gives me and hope for the best.

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be? If Tom and Jerry were my lifelong companions, I would never have a dull life.  Every day would be an adventure. 

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose? Oh, to have someone feed me 3 meals a day, including lasagna, all week while I sleep the rest of the time would be glorious.

Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why? I love Norse Mythology and Loki is my favorite character in the "Thor" movies.  What I like is that Marvel took Loki and gave him a soul, thus making him human. 

What’s the longest book you’ve ever read? The story of Pip and Stella is probably the longest book I have ever read.  I used to teach it twenty years ago but the length and changing times forced it to the backseat of literature just like "Moby Dick."

What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
